The Diamond City will turn emerald green in honor of the Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 14th, 2010.

This year's St. Patrick's Day parade will feature the following spirited entertainment:

Ceol Mor Pipe & Drum Band of Luzerne County - Donnybrook Band - Edward P. Maloney Memorial Pipe Band - Penn York Highlanders - Syracuse Scottish Pipe Band - Wyoming Valley Pipe & Drum Band - Avalon String Band - Goodwin String Band - Hegeman String Band - Irem Shriners String Band - Uptown String Band - Kerry Dancers - Scoil Rince Na Connemara Dancers - Three Imaginary Boys - The Victorian Highwheelers - Coughlin High School Marching Band - E.L. Meyers High School Marching Band - GAR High School Marching Band - Holy Redeemer High School Marching Band

Parade Day Activities Include:
St. Patrick's Day Storytime - 11:00 a.m. at Barnes and noble
Kids are invited to hear Miss Rose read a St. Patrick's Day favorite, plus enjoy a craft project.

General Federation of Women's Club's Federation Day 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Boscov's
- Join the local women's clubs for food, fun for the kids and more before the parade. Proceeds benefit the Wyoming Valley Childrens Association.

"The Hooley Boys" performance - 1:00 p.m. - the reviewing stand on Public Square
- The Irish folk group from Scranton will delight with pre-parade tunes.

Also featured will be GIANT BALLOONS.

PARADE ROUTE:
The parade will begin at South Main & South Streets, travel on South Main to Public Square, go around the Square by the F.M. Kirby Center, pass the reviewing stand by the Martz Trailways’ building and continue on North Main Street until disbanding on Union Street.

STAGING AREA:
South Main St. btw. South and Dana Sts., Ross St. btw. Franklin St. & Pennsylvania Ave., Academy/Hazle btw. Franklin St. & Pennsylvania Ave. and South St. btw. Franklin St. & S. Washington St.

NO PARKING:
In staging area, along parade route or in the Volunteers of America parking lot on S. Main Street
