08/25/2010   MAYOR THOMAS M. LEIGHTON HOSTS GRAND OPENING OF THE JAMES F. CONAHAN INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION FACILITY

 

WILKES-BARRE - On Friday, August 20, Mayor Thomas M. Leighton hosted the Grand Opening of the James F. Conahan Intermodal Transportation Facility in downtown Wilkes-Barre.

 

The James F. Conahan Intermodal Transportation Facility has centralized bus traffic in downtown Wilkes-Barre and created an addition 752 parking spaces for residents, businesses, and visitors.  The project was accomplished with significant Federal and State financial assistance, and those who contributed to the direction of the allocation of these funds were on hand for the celebration.  Austin Burke, Secretary of the Depart ...
